Title: Έξυπνο σπίτι
Description:

Description:

Title: Environment: treading lightly on the Earth
Description: This OER is a product of The Open University This course, Environment: treading lightly on the Earth, focuses on the problem of greenhouse gas emissions, especially carbon dioxide (CO2), and explores what you can do to lighten those emissions to help reduce the rate of climate change. You will assess your ‘carbon footprint’ and see what actions you and, if relevant, other household members could take to lighten that footprint. You will also better understand which actions are more and less effective, and the scope and limits of what individuals can do at the personal and household level. Students should be able to explains the nature and extent of the carbon footprint of individuals and households in the national and global economy.

Title: Casele verzi…

Title: The truth of fishing
Description: Following the excessive consumption of fish and seafood worldwide, the number of all species is continuously decreasing, most of which are already below 25% of the percentage recorded in 1970.It is also well known to promote the restoration of the speed of global warming by reducing the use of plastic such as straws, cups or PET, but the true dangerous mass of this type of material is hidden. The examples given represent, in marine and oceanic waters, a percentage of only 0.05%, and 46% are fishing nets. Following the research of specialists in the field of the impact of the carbon footprint on aquatic life, a significant difference can be observed in terms of air quality in the atmosphere. The natural environment, such as large-sized fish and small ones in shoals, respectively air currents have a very important role in maintaining the climatic balance both between cold and warm water levels from the depths and the surface, but also in the relationship with the atmosphere.

Title: Climate change
Description: Climate is the prevailing weather conditions averaged over many years, while weather is the short-term change we see and experience on a daily basis. Climate change is a change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns when this change lasts for an extended period of time, Normally, the average climatic conditions in all regions of the Earth change due to natural processes during oscillations that span tens of thousands of years, but recently antopic factors have caused major sudden changes. The best example for the need to change the terms is the event that led to the registration of a red code for snow and blizzard in April 2023 in Iasi, the first in the history of the county. Not only the city in Romania was affected by spontaneous snowfall, but also American states like Florida where the snow is abnormal.

Title: Energetic efficiency
Description: Energy efficiency is the ratio of the output of performance, services, goods or energy to the energy used for this purpose. The energy performance of a building means the amount of energy calculated or measured to provide the energy required under normal use of the building. In other words, an energy efficient house has low energy consumption for needs that mainly include: heating, domestic hot water, cooling, ventilation and lighting.

Title: HOW DO YOU CONTRIBUTE TO SAVING THE PLANET?
Description: Air pollution is one of the forms of pollution with major, disastrous effects on the environment. Technically speaking, any physical, biological or chemical hanger in the atmosphere can be called air pollution and occurs when any harmful gas, dust or smoke enters the atmosphere and affects plants, animals and humans as well. Water pollution represents any change in the composition or quality of water, as a result of human activities or as a result of natural processes, so that it becomes less suitable for its uses. Carbon footprint, also called CO2 footprint, represents the total emissions of greenhouse gases that an organization, event, product or person produces in a certain amount of time. Transport, like any other activity of an economic nature, is based on the consumption of natural resources that are transformed into the energy required to move certain quantities of goods and passengers from one geographical point to another, depending on the specific needs of supply chains.
